Grant Assurance 6 – Consistency with Local Plans

Grant Assurance 6 requires airports to ensure consistency with plans for development around the airport. [1]https://www.faa.gov/airports/aip/grant_assurances/media/airport-sponsor-assurances-aip-2020.pdf

The project is reasonably consistent with plans (existing at the time of submission of this
application) of public agencies that are authorized by the State in which the project is located to
plan for the development of the area surrounding the airport.

FAA Grant Assurances for Airports

To comply with the Grant Assurance, the airport sponsor must work with local planning agencies for development programs around the airport. The proposed project must take into consideration the planned uses for surrounding areas.

See the other Grant Assurances.
