Prior to beginning a federally funded project, the airport operator must consult with affected users. The manner in which the consultation occurs is up to the airport, however, the FAA does mandate that consultation occurs. If the project is not funded by federal funds, no consultation is required. Code, it has undertaken reasonable consultations with affected parties using the airport at
which project is proposed.
