Airport Sponsor Requirements
The Airport Sponsor must own the airport or lease it for the useful life of the project. If an Airport Sponsor has not received AIP funding for projects in the past, the sponsor may have to submit proof to the FAA of the Title.
To satisfy the requirements of Grant Assurance 4 – Good Title, the Airport Sponsor must own or lease the property. Failure to maintain the title for the useful life of the project could place the sponsor on the Airport Noncompliance List (ANL).
